Barbara Sweet, CEO of the Prince Edward County Public Library, is well known for her community involvement in high-profile projects, the most recent being the major expansion of the Prince Edward County Public Library System which also now includes the Prince Edward County Archives. Picton Rotary wanted to recognize Barbara's ongoing efforts for our community so we recently awarded her a Community Paul Harris Fellow.

Rotarian Bob Bird explained the concept behind a Paul Harris Fellow Award and then presented the award to Barbara. A Paul Harris Fellow is an individual recognized for their significant contribution or a donation made in their name of $1,000 or more to the Rotary Foundation. This recognition is a way to honour individuals who demonstrate a commitment to Rotary's ideals of service and international understanding.
